Exploring Brazo Tristeza (one of Nahuel Huapi Lake arms) sailing on a private motorboat surrounded by impressive mountains and waterfalls. This glacier origin fjord is situated in the southeast area of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. From our boat we will get a glimpse of the Valdivian Jungle; to the west, the restricted area within Nahuel Huapi´s National Park, which receives a strict protection for species that live there, specially protecting the Patagonian otter, also known as the Huillín. Among the fauna, it is also possible to spot out various birds, such as condors and waterfowl. The landscape continues to remind us of its past glacier as we see deeply cut out coastlines formed by glacier erosion. If the weather allows it, the majestic Mount Tronador (3450 meters- just over 2 miles- above sea level) with its permanent snows, will be visible. Once we arrive at the end of the Brazo Tristeza, we offer a two-hour walk to the Frey stream waterfall in the heart of the forest. On our return, after a beautiful day, a Gourmet lunch prepared by our onsite Chef; a meal full of flavors and drinks will await us.
